Michael Pastor offers these words of advice for those thinking about getting involved at Camellia Place: “Expect your heart to be touched,” he said. “It’s like moving in with family.” With a delightful sense of humor and strong work ethic, Michael has joined a collection of good-hearted people in his role as Facilities Manager at Camellia Place.
Michael brings tremendous knowledge and experience in his field, having most recently served as Director of Maintenance at Autumn Leaves in Woodstock. As our Facilities Manager, he will oversee and implement all necessary actions to ensure and maintain the functionality, safety, and appeal of our facilities. With his business acumen, having studied Business Management at Northern Virginia Community College, he is the perfect balance of character and expertise.
When reflecting on his most significant career highlight, Michael shared, “Serving my country as a military member will always be the most remembered.” He speaks of the influence of his parents in his life and recalls the best piece of advice they offered: “Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut.” Certainly, those experiences will not only benefit Michael in his role here, but will also behoove the staff and residents of Camellia Place.
