As Facilities Manager at Camellia Place, Gary has the opportunity to apply his skills and assist both staff and residents along the way. It’s a perfect fit.

Gary brings broad experience and a strong background in facility maintenance and construction. He is a team leader and a team player and takes great pride in skilled craftsmanship. His ability to multitask and his exceptional communication skills will serve our community well.

For the past 15 years, Gary worked with Carmichael & Scott in Woodstock where he focused on all aspects of pool construction and maintenance. His previous work represents more than 20 years of hands-on and supervisory work in related fields. Inspiration for his work and life comes from his father – as a handyman who was never afraid to fix anything, and as a caregiver for Gary’s grandmother, his mother.

Perhaps more impressive is Gary’s role in his own family – as a husband and father of six. He knows first-hand the importance of family, yet another extraordinary character trait that will benefit the Camellia Place family.

Beyond his heart for service at Camellia Place, Gary loves hiking, camping, cooking and home projects. When asked how his family would describe him, he offered “loving, funny, caring, crafty, handy and chef.”  We are grateful and fortunate to have Gary on our leadership team.
